This year I attended DEF CON 34, and I have to say it was one of the most interesting experiences I have ever had in the security field.

For those who may not know it, DEF CON is the largest hacker conference in the world, and it is simply something extraordinary. The event is packed with experts and gives you the opportunity to discover the latest developments in the field, often even before they become widely known.

One of the things I love most about DEF CON is the huge number of villages you can explore, which means being exposed to an incredible variety of topics and areas of expertise.

There are already millions of videos online covering the event, so I do not want to repeat all the technical details of what was presented. Instead, I would rather focus on my personal impressions.

I believe that, in the age of AI, DEF CON has become even more important. It creates opportunities to build relationships with other people, establish professional connections, and, above all, become part of a community of experts.

In a world where we increasingly interact with AI, meaningful interaction with other people is becoming less common. Yet community remains essential if we want to grow, learn, exchange knowledge, and develop new technologies. The best ideas often come from discussion, collaboration, and comparing different points of view.

This sense of community is probably the aspect of DEF CON that I appreciated the most.

For this reason, I would like to try to recreate something similar, even if on a much smaller scale, but something stable and lasting. My goal is therefore to shape this blog not only as a place where I can publish technical content and share my experiences, but also as the foundation for a community of experts who can exchange ideas, learn from one another, and grow together.

To conclude, if you are a security professional, you should attend DEF CON at least once!
